NBL Summer League Tracker – Day 7
Former New Zealand Breaker and NBL Next Star Rayan Rupert showed his rebounding capabilities on day seven of NBA Summer League.
The French wing had 12 rebounds in the Trailblazers 88-71 win over the Orlando Magic. Rupert, a second-round pick by Portland rounded out his stat line with four points, three assists, one steal and a block in 32 minutes.
His teammate Duop Reath is currently fighting for an NBA contract. Reath, has been the most consistent performer out of all Australians at Summer League. Averaging close to a ten point double-double every game.
He had 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and three steals in only 15 minutes of playing time.
Filipino sensation Kai Sotto saw his first minutes in Summer League for Orlando. He had six points, four rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 13 minutes off the bench.
Luke Travers had his first start for Cleveland. In 33 minutes of play, he had eight points (all came in the first quarter), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks. His Cavaliers beat the Chicago Bulls 87 to 83.
Taipan Sam Waardenburg played his first game for the Timberwolves, having two points and one rebound in two minutes.
